Construction has initiated on the South Dock in order to upgrade existing wood system to the combination Wood, Plastic, and electrical "Towers" for all boat slips.  It is planned to be completed by end of March 2021.  Progress Photos will be added periodically to show the restoration project.

Above Photos were taken between 24 December and 1 January.  Demolition and piling replacement are proceeding rapidly.

January 5th....Progress in adding the seawall and retaining whalers.  Tides have been too high recently to allow completion of the lower retaining whalers.  Materials are being loaded at the street end to facilitate material access.

January 10th....Seawall continues to be installed.  High water still plagues progress because the lower securing of the seawall can only be reached at low tide.  Also, several pilings were found to be damaged and required replacement.

We had an interesting visitor this weekend, Jan 16.  Tony Medaglia was looking at the construction as an American Eagle (blad eagle, I knew it was a bald eagle because all the feathers on the right side of his head were combed over to the Left side) flew over Escape Harbor.  Since purchase in 1985, I have never seen one around the dock!

Same day as Mr. Eagle, it looks like the plastic is complete from bulkhead to Gazebo.  Now we need some low tides to fasten and cross brace the inner structure of the dock.

Below is the early March state of dock restoration.  New electrical service coupled with conduit extending to each service Tower.  Next operation is completion of the dock resurfacing.  March 9, 2021.
